Through interactive exercises and guidelines, Celebrating Similarities teaches participants how to communicate and connect with individuals with disabilities to create and maintain a positive learning environment for all students. This Training Module also examines eligibility criteria, disability descriptions and facts, alternatives to traditional labels as well as People First language, so participants focus on the needs of the students and necessary support levels to ensure student success.

Each Training Module provides solid instruction on key content knowledge and collaborative skills - so your paraeducators learn how to effectively meet the needs of students with disabilities and, at the same time, receive ongoing training and professional development as required under NCLB and IDEA.
