A comprehensive approach to enhance communication and socio-emotional abilities for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other related disorders. "SCERTS" refers to the core components of the model: Social Communication (SC), Emotional Regulation (ER), and Transactional Supports (TS).
This video series provides an overview of the SCERTS model and demonstrates its application in classroom, community, and home environments for children in early intervention through the primary school grades.
"SCERTS" is researched and developed by a multidisciplinary team. It is presented by Dr. Barry Prizant who has 25 years experience in the field of ASD. It is for those interested in moving beyond currently available approaches, to a comprehensive framework that builds meaning, logic and predictability into daily functional activities for children with ASD and all their social partners.
