A FASCINATING DOCUMENTARY ABOUT PEOPLE WHO DANCE AND ARE VISUALLY IMPAIRED

Why, with little or no sight would one choose an art form that requires so much visual acuity? How do they learn the steps? Navigate the space? Hold their balance? What inner strength is required to dance blind?

This film follows 5 dancers, amateur and professional, aged 7 to 80, as they introduce us into their world of dance. Ballet, country western, modern, ballroom and tap are all represented.

It reminds us that limitations should never be placed on people that would deprive them of traits we all share: the need to connect to one’s environment, to one’s inner rhythm and to each other.

Close your eyes and try it. You’ll never look at dance the same way again.
