We all know that social skills play a vital role in vocational success. This two-book curriculum challenges students to address work-related dilemmas viewed from the perspective of different characters. Acting Out incorporates read-aloud scenarios, role plays, and small group discussion with worksheets.
The Student Book presents a sequence of seven acts:
• Responsibility
• Respect, Fairness
• Citizenship
• Trustworthiness
• Caring
• Civic Responsibility.
Each act has three scenes emphasizing the viewpoint of different characters. Students act out the role plays, then reflect on varying outcomes. The Teacher’s Guide provides an overview of the curriculum plus the complete Student Book with suggested answers.
