MATCH MAKING IN THE 90'S
This program's cast is made up primarily of persons with disabilities. Teens and young adults can relate to this material because it is written by and about people like themselves. Adapted for the screen by Sally Bailey, a noted drama therapist, this program shows four couples matched up by a dating service. Shot entirely on location, we see the successes and failures of the match-making. From each couple we learn what behavior leads to relationship troubles. Educational, entertaining, and fun, this video will be a hit for young adults, caregivers, and parents.
ROOTS AND WINGS :An important video from the producers of the award winning "Person to Person" on sexuality education for teenagers with cognitive disabilities. In this video, you will meet several teens with special needs and watch as their caregivers and parents prepare them for adulthood. The strong roots of caregivers, family and friends help the teenagers develop their wings of independence.
TEENAGE SEXUALITY EDUCATION
Mary Ann Carmody, a professional sexuality educator certified by the AASECT and registered nurse, guides and instructs throughout the film. She demonstrates her teaching techniques through group sessions with the teenagers and through her guidance, they exhibit stunning social growth.
